Can't believe this place is a highway Rest Stop!Has everything a city centre would have except a hotel! Food shops galore, beer, ice cream, picnic areas, beautiful water streams and bridge!

A very wide roadside station.The ducks were swimming in the pond and I was healed just by watching them.A blueberry field spreads in the back mountain and a small climb. Soft ice cream using raw milk was delicious.

This is a large roadside stop with tons of roof and restaurants. There are a lot of green spaces and bridges which create a peaceful environment. There is also a walking train, which looks pretty large. There are a lot of parking spaces, but expect there to be a lot of cars and visitors on the weekends. Besides restaurants, there are also speciality shop selling cheese, yogurt drinks, and onigiri. A fine place to stop.

Beautiful and clean place. Has a fun playing area where you can slide down the slope. Has a zip line. Not all I think but some grass are artificial.

I've been here several times.When you drop in, you always buy rice balls on the side of the parking lot.Miso soup is also delicious.Also, there are freshly made pizzas and wieners inside, so you can enjoy them.If you are a child up to the lower grades of elementary school, there is a little playground and you can play in the airy nature.You can also enjoy feeding carp and duck.

A laidback and beautiful rest stop which many locals stop by. Has an infrequent shuttle bus directly from Numata (沼田) station for visitors who don't drive. You won't go hungry here as there are many shops selling really tasty food. Has a decent official website to introduce all the food you should try there. Strongly recommend trying to local made yoghurt from the milk factory and the sanzoku-sho set (山賊焼) from the meat factory.Stamp collectors can get a unique stamp from the visitors' center. Manhole hunters will be pleased to find a cover with a design for Kawaba region near the bus stop. Visited in Jan 2020.

One of the more premium rest stops I've seen in Japan - definitely worth a visit. Faculties are all very new, bathrooms are thankfully heated and some interesting shops to check out.I think they have a cake shop and a fresh soba place but I arrived after 5 PM (Saturday) and the only thing that was open was the main souvenir shop/market.

I have no idea what is the best roadside station in Japan.Acclaimed by various word of mouth, Bandai Yaki is boiled for a few seconds in the unhygienic interior of the store and in the kitchen.
